Create Thicker, Defined Brows with Microblading

Now more than ever, men and women are becoming more aware of their eyebrows and how they complement their facial features, due to celebrities like Cara Delevingne who have brought back the trend of thicker and fuller brows. This can pose a problem for those who plucked their brows into the thin shape that was fashionable in the ‘90s, or those whose eyebrows have lost pigment over the years. Thankfully, there is now a solution for too-thin and sparse brows: microblading.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a popular technique to fill in and shape the eyebrows. A very fine row of needles is used to create precise, hair-like strokes by depositing pigment underneath the skin. Unlike other permanent makeup options, microblading is much more precise and produces very natural-looking results.

This technique works by adding the appearance of brow hairs to the brow, shaping and defining them to best complement the patient’s facial features. Microblading is semi-permanent, lasting one to three years. However, because microblading does not embed pigments as deeply as traditional tattooing, touch-ups may be required to maintain your look.

The Appointment

If you decide that you would like to get in on this popular new treatment, you should know what to expect during your appointment. First, patients should know that treatment takes between one and a half to two hours to complete. Next, a consultation must take place before the microblading is done to determine the shape, size, and color you would like your brows to be.

The brow area will then be numbed to ensure a comfortable experience. The brows are outlined in pencil to create a stencil for our professional microblader to follow. Then, the pigment is precisely placed into the skin to create your new brows!

Following treatment, you may experience red or swollen skin around the treatment areas. This is normal, and will completely go away once the skin has healed.
